EXPLOSION-PROOF VALVE TYPE KOV

Explosion-proof check valves for ventilation systems of explosive industries are designed to prevent air flow through openings to disconnected fans (from disconnected fans) when the fans are connected to the collectors.

The check valve type КОв which has an explosion-proof design is a round frame made of galvanized steel, with two flanges for fastening to the ventilation system, and is manufactured in a single-blade or multi-blade design. The blades are internally mounted on two axes and are secured through bronze or brass bushings to the body for intrinsic safety. The axes of the blades are displaced in relation to the axis of symmetry, due to which, when exposed to the air flow, a moment arises that opens the valve. When the air movement stops, the blade returns to its original position and the valve closes. Along the perimeter of the blade, composition metal or aluminum pads are riveted to protect against the possible appearance of a spark during the collision of the moving parts of the valve. The explosion-proof check valve has a device – a lever with a counterweight to regulate the magnitude of the moment. The valves can be installed both in a vertical position with an air speed of at least 4 m / s, and in a horizontal position with an air speed of at least 6 m / s. Explosion-proof check valves can be operated at operating medium temperatures from -40 ° С to + 45 ° С. The environment and air must not contain aggressive gases and vapors that destroy the materials of the product.  Explosion-proof check valves are manufactured in climatic versions for operation in areas with moderate У(moderate) and УХЛ (boreal) climates and location categories 1, 2, 3 and 4 according to GOST 15150.
