Thermoregulating valve (ТРВ) is the most common refrigerant controller for evaporators in refrigeration plants.

Thermoregulating valve is a regulator, the position of the regulating element (needle) of which is determined by the temperature in the evaporator and its task is to regulate the amount of refrigerating medium supplied to the evaporator, depending on thermal overload of the vapor of refrigerating medium at the outlet from the evaporator.
