The fan has a spiral casing in the form of a “snail” with a double air exhaust and an impeller with 32 blades curved forward and is equipped with a three-phase electric engine. The fans can be equipped with heat-resistant steel impellers with a diameter of 250 to 800 mm. The fan also includes a welded frame, casing and cap. The impeller is driven by an electric engine. The engines can be supplied in both conventional and explosion-proof versions. The air-gas mixture is sucked in through the inlet and is directed to the outlet openings due to centrifugal force and the special shape of the blades. A feature of the fan type ВКРВ ДУ is a two-sided exhaust of the extracting smoke. When using smoke exhaust fans in the event of a fire, their further operation is unacceptable. The fans are designed to remove air-smoke mixtures with a temperature of up to 400 ° C for 120 minutes in a fire and up to 600 ° C for 120 minutes. The environment and air must not contain aggressive gases and vapors that destroy materials, paint coatings and electrical insulation of the product.  The fan is manufactured in climatic versions for operation in regions with moderate У (moderate) and УХЛ (boreal) climate and location category 1 according to GOST 15150.
